Mr. Brinson, a native of Pamlico County, N.C., was owner and operator of Brinson's Market. He was a member of Corinthian Masonic Lodge 266, Scottish Rite Body and Khedive Temple. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church of Arapahoe, N.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen L. Stuhr of El Cajon, Calif.; two sisters, Glennie B. Rhodes of New Bern, N.C. and Nell Creasy of Louisville, Ky.; and two grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Smith-Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Rev. P.E. Phieman. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Cedar Grove Extension Cemetery, New Bern.
