Deacon Stephen ROE, son of CAPT Austin Roe and Catherine Jones was born in Setauket, NY 25OCT1779, died East Patchogue 15SEPT1851. He married first Sarah (Sally) Smith, daughter of Barnabas Smith of Hempstead and Esther Smith (no relation) of Huntington. Sally was born at E. Patchogue 18SEPT1874.
