Married Betty Hockett and Catharine Lussettie Mooney Frazier. He and Betty had: Earl Ray & Gladys. He and Lussettie had: Lilie Lucille, Ella Marie, Leonard (Lennie) William, and Lois Edna Hockett. William is the Son of Amos and Elizabeth Hockett buried in this cemetery.
"When ten years of age, he with his parents, migrated westward and settled a few miles northeast of Codell, Kansas, where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1890 to Betty Hockett who died Oct. 10, 1895 during or near child birth of Gladys. To this union were born Earl "RAY" and Gladys. Ray died September 12, 1904 and Gladys died Oct. 12, 1969.
On Sept. 13, 1899 he was united in marriage to Lusettie Mooney Frazier, who died August 20, 1937. To this union were born three daughters: Lillie, Etta, Lois and one son, Leonard.
Most of his life was spent in the Codell Community in Kansas, except for a short period at Hoxie, Kansas. During his life he was engaged in farming until his health necessitated his retirement which he spent at his home in Codell.
After a brief but serious illness he passed away Oct. 14, 1947 at his home in Codell. Funeral Services were conducted at the Baptist Church in Codell. Reverand Carl Green of Stockton, officiating.
