My GGG-Grandfather Peter Dilts was the son of William Dilts 11754-1823)and Nancy Watson Dilts(1755-1827).

Peter was born about the year 1785 in Hagerstown, Frederick County, Maryland, he came with his parents as a young boy to Pennsylvania eventually settling in Indiana County.

Peter Dilts also built the Davidsville Hotel in 1852, as a dwelling, a storehouse, and a store. The hotel opened for business in 1853. He later built a second building, a dwelling and a wagon shop. This building was later a carriage and wagon factory.
