Son of John and Nancy Bell Craig. Born in Root, Montgomery Co, NY. He ran a foundry in Neshkoro, Marquette Co Wi with his brothers in law, Harrison G. Otis Childs and Andrew Scobie II in the 1850's. Eventually he sold out to Andrew Scobie and moved to Winnebago Co in 1875. He and his wife Christie lost a set of triplets in the early weeks of their lives. They are buried by the Craigs.
