Death notice published in the Las Vegas Review Journal on March 31, 1997:

Minnie Calhoon, 94, died Sunday. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 24, 1902, in Nebraska and was a 66-year resident of Las Vegas.
She is survived by sons, Charles of North Las Vegas, John of Manti, Utah, and Kenny, Francis, Clayton and Raymond, all of Las Vegas; daughter, Shirley Diaz of Lancaster, Calif.; sister, Lulu Monke of Pipe Stone, Minn.; brother, Richard Jenkins of Sibley, Iowa; 33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunker Chapel with graveside services at 10 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
