It says: "IN MEMORY OF THE 18 ORIGINAL SETTLERS OF MILFORD WHOSE NAMES WERE NOT PLACED ON THE MEMORIAL BRIDGE WHEN IT WAS BUILT IN 1889: THOMAS UFFORD OBIT 1660 ISABEL HIS WIFE"
