Buckhannon - Cleatus Adam Dean, 78, of Deanville, died Monday at 8:05pm in a local hospital following a short illness.
He Was born in Upshur County on July 5, 1882 a son of John B. and Julia Burkhammer Dean.
Mr. Dean is survied by his second wife, Pauline Roesser Lipscomb Dean, at home. His first wife, Mary L. Casto Dean died in 1941.
Also surviving is five daughters, Mrs Dana (Arrietta) Dean of Deanville, Mrs Anthony (Nelda) Nodonly of Dundalk, Md., Mrs Walter (Eva) Schiller of Glenn Arm, Md., Mrs Paul (Martha) Miller of Newport News, Va., and Mrs Clem (Pauline) Kropff of Baltimore, Md.; three sons, John of Buckhannon, George of Orlando, Fl., and Paul Dean of Baltimore Md.; 20 grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Asa Napier of Pennsboro.
He was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker and a member of the Mt. Herman EUB church.
