Buckhannon - Arrietta B. dean, 91 of 1844 Wayland Dr., Winchester, VA., died Friday Jan. 28, 2000, at a local nursing home in Winchester.
She was born Feb. 19, 1908 in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Cletus A. and Mary Lamb Casto Dean.
Her husband Dana L. Deane, whom she married on Nov. 2, 1924, preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1985.
Surviving are one Daughter, Roberta Deane Kropff, Winchester, One grandson James G. Deane II, Ocean Township, NJ; and two granddaughters, Roberta Hardy and Kelli Preiss, both of Winchester.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James Guy Deane.
Mrs Deane was an office manager and bookkeeper for Record-Delta for 27 years, and attended the Mt. herman United Methodist Church, Buckhannon.
She was a member of the Buckhannon Business and Professional Women's Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Elizabeth Zane Chapter, Daughter of 1812, Joshua Jones Chapter, the Daughters of the American Colonists, Daniel Morgan Chapter, the Upshur County Historical Society, the Harrisonburg Historical Society of Virginia and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 7.
