L. Neal Fears, 66, Odessa, Mo., died Sept. 28, 1993, at the Medical Center of Independence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Odessa; burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa.
Mr. Fears was born in Mercer County, Mo., and lived in Trenton, Mo., and Brunswick, Mo., before moving to Odessa in 1960.
He worked for the Ben Franklin Variety Store, Odessa, for 33 years, retiring as manager earlier this year. He was chairman of deacons at the church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, LaQuita L. Fears of the home; a son, Mark L. Fears, Longmont, Colo.; a daughter, Ruth Ann Dillon, Odessa; two brothers, Ennis Fears and Arlie Fears, both of Ottumwa, Iowa; a sister, Florence Wilson, Spickard, Mo.; and two grandchildren.
