The Greenwood Commonwealth, August 29, 2008: KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Services for Elberta Bush Wynne of Kingsport, Tenn., formerly of Sidon, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Williams and Lord Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wynne, 98, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Wexford House Nursing Home in Kingsport, Tenn.

Mrs. Wynne was born in Carroll County and resided in the Sidon-Greenwood area most of her life. She was a member of the Sidon Baptist Church where she was active in the WMU. She was also a member of the Luncheon Club. She retired in 1999 from Hickok Electronics after 30 years of service. She also worked as a nurse's aide at Greenwood Leflore Hospital for 13 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Wynne Sr.

Mrs. Wynne is survived by two sons, Quentin Wynne Jr. of Memphis and Calvin Wynne of Mena, Ark.; her daughter, Dorothy Orieta Mitchell of Kingsport, Tenn.; her brother, Miller Bush of Greenwood; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Bud Vance will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lindsey, Jim Wanamaker, Wayne Bush, Robert Mitchell, Scott Meyer and Brandon Hasty. Honorary pallbearers are Basil King and Jacob Meyer.

Williams and Lord Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Sidon Cemetery in Sidon.
