James Kinzie was married in Indiana, 1847, to Miss Lydia Hatch, the aged lady still surviving.
Eleven children were born to them, ten of which survive, being: William, James, Edward, Mesdames Clarey, Goodhart, Marla Collister, Morris, Emma Collister, Folden, Wehn.
