Clinton Black Kartchner passed away on August 31, 2008 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born May 4, 1920 in Blanding, Utah to Franklin and Elva Kartchner. He married Merle Iola Allridge Kartchner in Blanding Utah on May 7, 1938 and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple on December 1, 1938. He met his bride of 69 years, at a dance, immediately fell in love and saw no reason to date anyone else. They got married shortly thereafter.

Preceding him in death is wife; his parents and brother, Verl Kartchner. Clint is survived by his children: Raymond (Lola), Lynn, Jerry (Susan), Carolyn Mayhew, and Brent (Dee); 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held the same day, 9:30-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
