RONALD W. ORCUTT DIXMONT - Ronald Warren Orcutt, 67, passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2008, surrounded by his loving family, at a Bangor hospital. Ronald was born Jan. 30, 1941, in Dixmont, to the late Clinton S. Sr. and Elsie (Norris) Orcutt. Ronald grew up in Dixmont where he lived and worked his entire life. He worked for R.D. Faulkner as a small engine mechanic before starting his own business in small engine sales and service. In his later years, he sold the business to his son and daughter-in-law, and worked for them for many years. Ronald was a true outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed NASCAR and especially spend-ing time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gloria F. Orcutt of Dixmont; children, Harland Orcutt and wife, Debbie Burpee, of Dixmont, Leslie "Bo" Orcutt and wife, Valerie, of Dixmont, Cecil Orcutt of Pittsfield, and Sara Wolfinger and husband, Michael, of Dixmont; grandchildren, Dale, Jessica, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Cassandra, and Jessie Orcutt, Heidi McDougal and husband, Danny, and Tina Harvey and boyfriend, Chris; great-grandchildren, Damian and Danny Jr. McDougal, and Brittney Laurent; sisters, Sylvia Orcutt of Troy and Roseline Collins of Orono; as well as many nieces and nephews, and special friends. Ronald was predeceased by his infant daughter, Lori; brothers, Clair, Clint Jr., Billy, Richard and Frank Orcutt; and grandson, Heath Orcutt. Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A graveside service for Ronald will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Dixmont Corner Cemetery, Route 9, Dixmont, with Pastor Chuck Langbein officiating. Family and friends are invited for refreshments and a continued time of remembrance immediately after the graveside service at Dixmont Snowmobile Clubhouse, Cates Road, Dixmont.
