ELLENBURG CENTER
Albert Ashline Jr., 73, died Wednesday,Oct. 2, 1996, at CVPH
Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in East Hampden,Mass., Oct. 2, 1923, the son of
Albert and Elizabeth (Manor)Ashline Sr.
He was employed as a machinist for Sheridan Iron Works in Champlain for 25 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1418, in Champlain and was a lifetime member of the Champlain Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his companion,Carol LaClair of Ellenburg
Center; a son, Steve Ashline of Champlain; a daughter, Susan
Spinney of Weston, Maine; a brother, Donald Ashline of
Mooers; two sisters, Loretta Stewart of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dorothy Smith of Champlain;four grandchildren, Jason and Emily Ashline and Robert, Ronald Spinney; and several nieces and nephews.
His wife, Beulah, died April 13, 1984; a brother, Peter
Ashline, also died before him.
Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. The Champlain Knights of Columbus are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 7 p.m. for a service. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at
St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg,Entombment will follow in
Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Ellenburg
Depot.
