Sister M. Ferdinand Storch (Wilhelmina)
Sister Ferdinand passed away after a brief illness of only two days. At the time of her death she was Home Room teacher for seniors and head of the English Department at Ursuline Academy.
Sister Ferdinand had been principal of several high schools for about twenty-two years -- St. Partick High School, Sidney, Nebraska, St. Francis De Sales High School, Morgantown, WV; Ursuline High School, Columbia, S.C. Her other assignments included the following:

The funeral service for Sister M. Ferdinand was held at the Motherhouse this morning at 8:30 a.m. A Solemn Requiem High Mass was sung with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Felix N. Pitt as celebrant, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Anthony Gerst as deacon, Rev. Donald Gallagher as sub-deacon and Rev. Msgr. J. William McKune as Master of Ceremonies.
After Mass the body was taken to St. Martin's Church where a Solemn High Mass was offered for the repose of her soul. Rev. Bernard Spoelker was a the celebrant of the Mass, Rev. John Morgan was the deacon, and Rev. Uphaus was sub-deacon. The entire student body assisted and sang the Mass. Burial took place in St. Michael Cemetery.
