She was married on July 12, 1951 by a Justice of the Peace in Ventura, Ventura County, California to Emery Joseph Belanger (1915–1996), the son of William Joseph Belanger (1891–1965) and Alvina Mary (Nobert) (1893–1985). On December 22, 1951, Helen and Emery had their marriage blessed by the Catholic Church in Los Angeles.
In December 1985 Helen and her husband moved to Victorville, San Bernardino County, California, and she died there on November 29, 1992. Burial was in Desert View Memorial Park, Victorville.
