Jessie B. McHatten

Jessie B. McHatten, 82, of 12 Ann St., Waterville, died Tuesday morning, June 8, at the home of her daughter, Jeanne Theriault, with whom she resided for several years.

She was born in Ashland, Feb. 16, 1911, daughter of Thomas and Mary (St. Peter) Boyce.

She was formerly employed as a cook at the Waterville Osteopathic Hospital and then later at the Waterville Convalescent Center. She was employed at St. Joseph Maronite Church in Waterville as housekeeper for many years for Rev. Paul Coury.

She was also an avid Beano player.

Her husband, Wilford McHatten, died in 1964.

In addition to the daughter she resided with, she is survived by another daughter, June Voisine of Bristol, Conn.; one sister Elsie Forbes of Ashland; one brother, Mack Boyce of Mapleton; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, Silver Street, Waterville.

Committal prayer and burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Castle Hill Cemetery in Castle Hill.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to St. Jude`s Children`s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis, Tenn. 38173 and can be left at the Gallant Funeral Home.
