Mrs.Willard Brown Died Saturday After short Inness Leaves Husband and Two Small Children to Mourn Her Loss
(By Mrs. C.F. Campbell)
It was a severe shock to the many relatives and friends of Mrs. Willard Brown of Fairview to hear of her death which occurred at her home last Saturday, March 1st, at 11:30 a.m. death resulting from heart trouble and plursey following the influenza.
Dr West and Mrs. Mae Hale were in attendance and everything possible was done to save her life but to no avail.
Mrs. Brown familiarly and lovingly known as Hat, leaves a devoted husband, son Rex age 7, daughter Norine age 4 and aged father and mother, several brothers and sisters and unlimited number of friends to mourn her sudden departure to the life beyond.
She was born at Clarkston, Utah, December 18, 1886, coming to Star Valley when a small girl with her parents. She received her education in the District School and the B.Y. C. of Logan, Utah. She was married to Willard Brown, son of Mr and Mrs. J.F. Brown Sr., in the Logan Temple September 14, 1910.
Her home was one of love and happiness and a smile of welcome was extended to her many loved ones who found comfort and hospitality therein.
Owing to her husband and children being sick with the influenza no funeral services were held but a large cortège followed her remains to their final resting place in the Fairview cemetery, where Bp. Orlando Barrus made eulogistic and fitting remarks and Counselor Ed. Session dedicated the grave.
In her passing away we lose a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister whose example and lovely life is worthy of emulation.
The bereft family have the sympathy of all.
