D. E. Kubik, 93, Dies; Services Are Thursday
Final tribute was paid Daniel Emanuel Kubik, 93, retired farmer of 408 North Webb, Caldwell, Thursday at 10 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Kubik died Tuesday at the District Hospital, Caldwell.
Rev. Richard Hardesty, pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church officiated at the services.
Music was provided by Rick Thompson, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Damon Weber, organist.
Interment was in the Caldwell Cemetery, directed by Schaeffer's Mortuary. Bearers were John Snowden, Alvin Jenista, Lawrence Kolarik, Charles Overall, Joe Lebeda, Lee Perry.
Mr. Kubik was born September 7, 1874, in Racine, Wisconsin, the son of Frank and Anna Danek Kubik. He had resided in the Caldwell Community for 90 years, and was considered an authority on facts about the early history of this area.
He married Millie Bobek at Caldwell on December 25, 1899. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and held a lifetime certificate in the ATA Lodge. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred Kubik in 1960.
Survivors include his wife, Millie of the home; sons, Karl Kubik of Long Beach, Calif., Ben Kubik of Wichita, Ted Kubik of Caldwell; daughter Mrs. Albert (Marguerite) Enderud of Caldwell; brother, Henry Kubik of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Mrs. Fred (Pauline) Bobek of Medford, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
