Ethel Alexander Husong died July 4 in her Saratoga home, where she resided for the past 41 years. She was 85.
Husong was born Oct. 6, 1912, in Hollis, Long Island, N.Y. She taught at Foothill Elementary School in Saratoga for 23 years and always had a love of children. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her husband.
Survivors include husband of 60 years, Glenn A. Husong of Saratoga; son and daughter-in-law David and Linda Husong of Granbury, Texas; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Joseph Ross of Morgan Hill; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services have been held.
