Benjamin Dill, son of Andrew and Susan Dill, was born August 22, 1861 in Whiteside County, IL and passed away at his home west of Murray, NE, Tuesday, April 9, 1929 at the age of 67 years 7 months and 17 days.
He came to Nebraska with his parents February 10, 1876 and spent the remainder of his life in Cass County with the exception of seven years they resided in Box Butte County.
A number of years ago he united with the Otterbain church. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of America.
He was married to Emma J. Adams December 24, 1882, and to this union were born 12 children, two having preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and 10 children as follows: Charles Dill of Stapleton, NE; Ray Dill of Murray NE; Bessie Tucker of Callaway, NE; Edith Beckner of Walthill, NE; Frank Dill of Murray, NE; Addie Shrader of Nehawka, NE; Ethel Rice of Nehawka, NE; Grace Christensen of Helper, Utah; Fern Hopkins of Murray, NE; and Lester Dill residing at home.
He also leaves one sister Mrs. Alice Hipp of Lyons, NE and one brother Riley Dill, Council Bluffs, IA; and eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild and a host of friends.
