Her parents were George and Elizabeth Shoemaker Eby. Elizabeth's obituary in 1909 says the funeral was at Strickler's Meeting House or Strickler's United Brethren Church and that interment was made at Strickler's Meeting House. The Strickler Meeting House cemetery is today known as the Eby United Brethren Cemetery. I believe someone confused the notation of "Strickler" cemetery with the last name of George's wife. The Lancaster PA Mennonite Vital Records 1750-2014 list the family of George and Elizabeth Shoemaker Eby and their children: Fannie, who married Emanuel Trout, Elizabeth or Lizzie, who married Christian Breneman, Emma, with these birth and death dates: Oct 16, 1858 - Dec 16, 1876, and the sons Ephraim and Christian. Emma never married, so Eby is also her maiden name.
