Lolo was the daughter of Jacob (1841-1909) and Elizabeth 'Eliza' Geiss (1847-1916) Young.

Lolo's siblings (12): William Michael Young (1868-1963); John Frederick Young (1869-1962); Elizabeth Christina 'Lizzie' Michelfelder (1871-1963); Anna Mary Dehne (1872-1939); Bertha Julia 'Bert' Fouts (1974-1956); Christian Francis 'Christy' 'Frank' Young (1876-1945); Catherine Louisa 'Kate' Drinkut (1878-1938); Caroline Ida 'Carrie' Meany (1881-1904); Susan Leona 'Leo' Akard (1884-1932); Florence Magdeline 'Maggie' Maloney (1885-1964); Emma Helena Young (1888-1896) and Georgia Henrietta Akard (1890-1974).

Lolo had no middle name.

The Jacob Young family moved from Lancaster, Ohio to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1893.

Lolo was raised Lutheran. She was the only one of her brothers and sisters who did not have a middle name.

Legend has it that Lolo was named after the Queen of Bavaria.

Lolo married April 11, 1903 to Ingram 'Henry' 'Hen' Eckel (May 11, 1878-Mar 15, 1940) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lolo did not go to get the marriage license - Henry and Edward Dehne did.

Lolo and Henry's children: Edward Ingram Eckel (1904-1952); John Jacob Eckel Sr (1907-1976); Henry Thomas Eckel (1915-1992) and Catherine Florence Peace (1920-2010).

On December 30, 1904 Lolo laid down with her sick sister, Carrie (who had tuberculosis) at Carrie's request. Carrie died with Lolo beside her.

Lolo liked to do crochet work, sew, quilt and can. During prohibition she made beer (for her husband only).

When her daughter, Catherine, married in October of 1940, she and her husband lived with Lolo because Lolo was alone. Her husband Hen had died in March of 1940. Catherine continued to live there after her mother died.

Both Lolo and her husband were baptized Catholic before they died.

She died at age 83 years 8 months 19 days.

The above pictures was taken about 1893 and 1912.
