Obit: Auburn - Eugene 'Shorty' Lowery, 86, of Alvaton died at 9:15 p.m. July 24, 2001, at a Bowling Green Nursing Home. The Logan County native was a retired construction worker and a member of Auburn Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late John Lowery and Julie Ann Snider Lowery.
Grveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Young Funeral Home.
Survivors include Mary Houshell Lowery; a sister, Zula Mae Edwards of Indianapolis; 26 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
