PIONEER OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH
JUSTICE OF THE PEACE, 1845-1852
DEMOCRAT
He was the son of John of Pickaway Overmier and Barbara Gensel. He married Elizabeth Stauffer.
WARNING: Benjamin's gravestone reveals that the 1905 Overmyer authors were incorrect in saying Benjamin was born Oct. 15, 1808 and died May 27, 1854. The stone shows Benjamin died May 23, 1854, aged 50 years (illegible) months and 8 days, which puts his birthdate about 1803-1804.
Note: Brent Nimmo, Find A Grave volunteer, reports that Hurricane Ike did a lot of damage to the cemetery, and following that, vandals did even more damage.
