In 1860, "Amos Overmyre" was living in Columbus in the household of his brother-in-law Bertram Woodward. Thereafter, he disappears from the records.
It is possible this Amos could be the father of Francis Sanford Overmyer (1863-1927) as noted in Michigan Marriages. Francis Sanford Overmyer's parents have not yet been positively identified. This is one of the persistent, yet-to-be-solved mysteries of the extended Overmyer family.
