Roy Codner was born in the town of Amboy. June 7, 1876, son of the late Charles and Sarah Lewis Codner. He had twice married. His first wife was Clara Glasgow. In 1933, some years after the death of the first Mrs. Codner, he married Esther Griswold, daughter of a Baptist minister, who survives. He also leaves a brother and two sisters - Jay Codner of Central Square, Mrs. Eva Dale of Camden and Mrs. June Bray of Westdale.
At one time Mr. Codner was employed at Conant's factory in this village, and later at a factory at Osceola. For many years past he had been engaged in farming in the town of Constantia before buying his home in Cleveland. He was a fine gentleman and excellent citizen whose death will be widely mourned.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home in Center street, Cleveland, with burial in the family plot in Cleveland cemetery.
