Aphra married James N. Becknell/Bicknell on July 30, 1854 in Blount County, Alabama. There is no record (that I have found) as to what happened to James. Her children all bore the surname Brasher. In her father's probate records, she is shown as the widow of James Brasher. No record of a marriage for Aphra and James Brasher has been found. Her headstone shows her as "Mrs. A.H. Brasher" wife of J.N. Brasher.
