There are many dates suggested for the birth and death of Alexander GRAVES but because his parents married 10 Aug 1801, I would think he was born after that in Randolph [Guilford] County, NC; he died between 1870 and 1880. His wife Druzilla was found in the 1880 census living with son Stokes B. GRAVES and family as a widow so he must have died before that. [Dianne]

Alexander was the grandson of Revolutionary War Patriot and pioneer settler of St. Clair County, Alabama, Captain Edward Beeson. He came to the Alabama Territory with his parents, John Graves and Elizabeth "Betty" Beeson Gamon Graves, about 1815 and was a member of the Pioneering Graves Family that settled Blount and DeKalb Counties. {G. Andrew Dill]
