Died, at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday evening, February 27, 1907, at the Springfield hospital, from the effects of an attack of grippe, Mrs. Rosa Ward, aged 75 years. Remains were removed to Charles T. Bisch & Son, and later were sent to the residence of her son, 409 West Carpenter street. The funeral will be held at that place this afternoon. The interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.

The decedent was born in Germany and came to America in her childhood. She had been a resident of Springfield for over sixty years and was well known among the German residents of this city. She is survived by three sons, William H., Frank and Charles Ward of this city, and two daughters, Miss Katie Ward of Springfield and Mrs. Rosa Smith of Chicago.
