Alfred O. Holst, 86, of Route 49, died Saturday morning at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse after a short illness.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Watson Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Bernhards Bay .
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 206 S. Main St., Central Square.
A native of Germany, he lived in New York City and moved to Bernards Bay in 1946. He worked as a machinist at Roll-A-Way Bearings Corp., retiring in 1967.
Surviving are two sons, John and Gary of Bernhards Bay; two brothers, Alwin of Bernards Bay and Walter of Kirkville; a sister, Margaret Holst of Syracuse, and five grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to the United Church of Bernhards Bay memorial fund or the North Shore Ambulance fund of Cleveland
