Hans M. Holst 95, of Bernhards Bay, died Thursday January 1, 1970 at his home. He was born in Kroeplin, Germany on November 6, 1874 and was a retired baker. He was a 50-year member of the Bernhards Bay Grange 822, a charter member of the Dairymen’s League an a charter member of the Oswego County Extension Service.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Zingler and Miss Margaret Holst of Syracuse; six sons, Paul, Alfred and Alvin of Bernhards Bay, George of Syracuse, Hans of North Syracuse and Walter of Kirkvllle; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Services were January 3, 1970 at 2 p.m. at the Traub Funeral Home in Bernhards Bay with Rev. Allen H. Lum of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Bernhards Bay Cemetery in the spring.
