Graveside services with military rites for Jan Adams, 81, Pattonsburg, will be at 2 p.m. today in Coffey Cemetery in Coffey.
Mr. Adams died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008 in Cameron, Missouri, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, 4 days.

He was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of Franklin and Laura Luellen Adams.

On April 26, 1947 he married Phyllis Smith in Lawrence, Kansas, she survives of the home.

He was a printing pressman for Norwest Publications and served in the Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, of the home; three sons, Steven, Navasota, Texas, Michael, Selah, Wash., and Victor, Lawrence, Kan.; a daughter, Dianna Edgerton, McFall; a sister, Lucille Fast, Camby, Ore.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Leota Wheeler and Dorothy Reistad and 1 brother, Bill Adams.
