Services for William James, Cairo, are at 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at House of God Miracle Temple. The Rev. Dellise Cox will officiate and interment is in Crestview Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Jessie James, Larry Hall, Willie James, Robert James, Ernest James and Jimmie James. Mr. James died Sept. 19 at Grady General Hospital. Born in Grady County, he was a son of the late Mason and Clara Sapp James. He was married to Willa Bell Gary who preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Anthony James (Bridget) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Alfred James of Chester, Va.; daughters, Mildred Hill of Cairo, Frechetta James of Miami, Fla., Linda Gail Jones of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brothers, Willie Lee James, Jimmie Lee James, Earnest James all of Cairo, Robert Lee James of North Miami Beach, Fla., Emory James (Carolyn) of Opa Locka, Fla.; sisters, Lee Ester Williams (Russell), Cora Lee Howard (George), Eloise Smith (Ozell) all of Cairo; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
