Mrs. MANN was a native of Granville Co., the daughter of the late Cam and Willie Royster Overton and the widower of Buck MANN. Mrs. MANN worked for the Granville County tax office from 1936 to 1940 and was the registrar of deeds for Granville County from 1948 until she retired in 1992 and clerk to the Granville County Commission for 30 years. Mrs. MANN was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of Lora Averett Circle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001, from Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Chapel by Dr. Randy Pittman, with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. MANN is survived by one sister, Mrs. Louise O. Ford, of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.
