Produced major artists as diverse as Michael Tippett, The Yetties, Arthur Askey and Bing Crosby. He won awards and acclaim for pioneering a record of phonographic history "The Wonder of the Age" (1970). He produced Bing Crosby's final UK album "Feels Good, Feels Right" (1976). He was also the co-writer and presenter for the radio comedy series "Slightly Out To Lunch." In addition to his professional achievements, he was also one of the founders of the George Formby Society in 1961.
