Etta Rainbolt, 91, lifelong resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, September 26, 2008, at Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Mrs. Rainbolt was born February 19, 1917, in Doniphan. She worked in the cafeteria at the school. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God where she was the former secretary and taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Rainbolt enjoyed quilting.
On February 15, 1937, she was married to Aaron "Cobb" Rainbolt, Jr. in Ripley County. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2005.
She is survived by one daughter, Emma Lee & husband Wayne of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Gary Thornton and Peggy Carner and husband David; four great-grandchildren Tonya Carner, Matthew Thornton, Michael Thonton & Kendall Carner. Three sisters, Anna Adams & Bertha Friar both of Doniphan and Grace Headley of St. Louis; and three brothers, Charlie Allen of Anderson IN, and George Allen and James Allen both of Doniphan.
Mrs. Rainbolt was also preceded in death by her parents, Ed & Mary Lee (Murray) Allen and two brothers, William Allen & Lawrence Allen.
Visitation will be Sunday evening 5-8pm, September 28, 2008, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday morning, September 29, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kent Harding officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
