The following biographical data is from contributor Spirit Consort for which I am very grateful.
"He died in Taylor County, Georgia, but his county of residence was Talbot County. He married the 15th of December 1892 to Laura Ann Spinks."
__________________________________________________________

The couple had married when both were nineteen and after their marriage, they set up homesteading across the county line from Upson, into eastern Talbot County, where, in 1900 they were living in the Hart's District, next door to brother Theodore and a few houses down from his parents, who had also made the move. By this time, there were three children in the young couple's home. Nettie 6, Flemmon (Flem) 5 and daughter Willie Mae 4. William was still farming.

However, sometime prior to 1910, he and the family had departed the farm and moved a few miles south into the city of Junction City. They had purchased and moved into a home there and William, along with his two eldest children and found work in the local casket factory. By this time there were also four additional children in the home; Rufus, Jack, Annie Laura and J. C. Seven in all. (Another, Joseph E. would be added three years later.)

1920 finds the family more or less intact, still in Junction City. His son Flem is working at the local store and the eldest, Nettie has married and moved out. By 1930, there was only he and Laura and three of the children left at home. William and daughter Willie Mae still worked in the casket factory, Annie Laura worked in the grocery store and youngest son Joseph was still in school.

At the age of 70, in 1940, William had retired. He and Laura, along with daughters Willie Mae and Annie Laura remained in the same home in Junction City.

William passed away in 1953 at the age of 83. Laura died two years later and is buried next to him here in Junction City cemetery.
