Funeral services for Josephine Lord, 71, of Baskin will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Dwight DeJesus and Rev. Daniel Corkery celebrants. Interment will follow in New Winnsboro Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. A rosary service will be held Monday at 6:00 Pm at the funeral home with visitation following until 9:00 PM.

She was born Josephine Mary to her parents Joseph and Mary Troha Poye on May 14, 1934 in Winnsboro. She passed from this life Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Richardson Medical Center.

She was a graduate of Winnsboro High School. While in school she met Theodore A. Lord on a blind date and they later married August 28, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she remained a faithful, dedicated, and working member throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Poye, Sr. and a brother Joseph Jr.

Mrs. Lord is survived by her husband of 55 years Theodore (Doe) Lord of Baskin; three children and their spouses Donna and Sidney Williamson of Baskin, Mary Ann and Dale Lemoine of Mansura, LA and Tim and Rhonda Lord of Baskin; mother May Poye and sister Julia Cathey both of Baskin. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Jeannie Jalaldin and husband Azim, Julie Ardoin and husband Shannon, Joey Williamson and wife Rene, Tiffany Pepper, Angel Pepper, Danielle Pepper and Brandon Lord; eight great-grandchildren Morgan and Alec Jalaldin, Gavin and Chelsea Ardoin, Ryan Williamson, Lillie Kate Jones, Blade Jenkins and Tori Jenkins; numerous other relatives land a host of friends

Pallbearers will be Bill Moroni, John Moroni, Nick Petty, Buckshot Simms, Mike Thompson, and Joey Williamson
