He was born May 13, 1929, in Malta, Idaho, to Leo William and Gladys Nelson Beyler.
He attended Malta Elementary and graduated from Raft River High School. He served an LDS mission in the North Central States. He married Clara Wight in the Logan LDS Temple on Feb. 5, 1952. Shortly after their marriage, he was stationed in Escondido, Calif., proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Their first son was born during this time. After the service, they made their home in Malta, where he spent his life farming and ranching. This is where they raised their six child-ren.
He was active in the LDS Church and faithfully served in any calling he was asked. These included serving on the stake high council, stake MIA, ward mission leader, Sunday school counselor, home teacher and ward PFR. Together with his wife, they served an LDS Mission to Oakland, Calif., and officiated at the Logan Temple.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael D. Beyler; his parents, Leo William and Gladys Nelson Beyler; four siblings, Adelia Thompson, Arvil Beyler, Ellen Spencer and Edith Anderson Pack.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; five children, Darlene (Terry) Briggs, Sue (Joe) Barrett, Judy Beyler, Marty (Carie) Beyler and Sherri (Doug) Christenson; four siblings, Veloy Buckingham, Ressa (Fred) Davis, Lamont Beyler and Yvonne Monson; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, who he enjoyed attending their sports and other activities.
