Nettie Ward Walker, formerly of Springfield, VA, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, in Wilmington, NC. She was born in Brundidge, Alabama. After graduating high school, she accepted a position with the FBI in Washington, DC, where she retired after 33 years of service. She moved to Wilmington, NC in 1990. She is preceded by a granddaughter Kristine Varner. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Hugh Walker of Wilmington, NC. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008, at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
