Funeral services for Eugene Edward Eslick, 60, retired truck driver, were held at 2
o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Bennett-May Funeral Home, conducted by
Gilbert E. Shaffer, minister of East Hill Church of Christ. Burial took place in
Giles Memory Gardens. Mr. Eslick died Saturday, June 12, in Giles County Hospital,
following an extended illness.
Born January 25, 1905, in Giles County, he was the son of the late Dan L. Eslick and
Inez Bennett Eslick. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Eslick is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Colbert Eslick; five sons, J. L.
Eslick, Eugene Eslick, and James Ralph Eslick, Pulaski, Robert K. Eslick, stationed
in Germany and Merritt Eslick, Giles County; ten grandchildren; and one brother,
Oliver Eslick, Nashville.
