Ocala - Mr. George Gilbert Crain, 87, of Ocala, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Born April 9, 1921, in Osceola Mills, PA, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ethel Jean Crain; father George Washington Crain, mother Ethel Gilbert Crain and brother William A Crain. He Served in the Army and worked on farms in PA. He moved to Ocala in 1965 and worked as a mechanic, salesman, and later opened a florist business with his wife. He was a founding member and deacon of Silver Springs Shores Christian Church. Beloved father of Wanita Kring of Gilbertsville, PA; Dianna Sexon of Capron, VA; Alice Jane Jordan of Spring Hope, NC; Larry Crain of Ft. McCoy, FL; Karen D'Ovidio of Ocala and Ricky Crain of Ft. McCoy. Also survived by his sisters and brother Margaret Keith of Tucson, AZ; Alice Baney of Morrisdale, PA; Richard Crain of Osceola Mills, PA; Patricia Junker of Spring Hill, FL; Ethel Harsomchuck of Osceola Mills, PA; Rosemary Gathagan of Houtzdale, PA; 25 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
