Jesse Wayne Erwin, 62, son of Jesse Erwin and Opal McKinney Erwin, was born April 29, 1915, at Solo, Mo. and died Feb. 7, 1978 in Ft. Myers, Fla.

He was united in marriage to Nadine Lynch Feb. 10, 1945 and to this union two children were born.

Survivors are his wife, Nadine, of the home; one son, Howard James Erwin of Del City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Wayneth Darna of Bokeelia, Fla. and Linda Fletcher of Bois D'Arc, Mo.; one brother, Ralph Erwin of Yukon; six sisters, Kathleen Vance of Quinlan, Texas, Juanita Akeman, Mildred Rust, Zella Rust, and Olive Erwin of Cabool and Zula Johnson of Solo and six grandchildren.

Mr. Erwin operated a general store in the Tyrone community for 19 years, but because of ill health, he and Nadine moved to Florida making their home near Bokeelia.

He was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
