Jesse Francis Erwin, son of James T. and Mary Jane Erwin, was born Nov. 29, 1893, at Phillipsburg, Kans., and died Nov. 2, 1970, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, making his age 76 years, 11 months, and three days.

He moved to Missouri at the age of three and has lived on the same farm at Solo the remaining years of his life.

He was united in marriage to Julia Opal McKinney June 17, 1914, and to this union nine children were born.

One son, Howard, preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Opal; two sons, Wayne of Tyrone and Ralph of Yukon; six daughters, Mildred Rust and Zella Rust of Cabool, Zula Johnson of Solo, Olive of the home, Juanita Akeman of Cabool, and Cathleen Vance of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Gibson of Ruston, La., and Mrs. Nettie Harmon of Solo; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Ozark Baptist Church with Don Brower officiating. Burial was in the Ozark Cemetery under the direction of Evans-Elliott.
