TO ALL DESCENDANTS:
There are several databases showing Thomas Kent married to Rebecca Lewis (even I used to think so). I have deduced, however, that Thomas Kent was actually married to Rebecca Ashford.
Rebecca Lewis married Harrison Boyd and was the niece of Rebecca Ashford. Rebecca Lewis was the daughter of Jason Lewis and Nancy Ashford (Rebecca Ashford Kent's sister). They're all related and buried together at Rowe Cemetery so it's understandable there could be confusion. Rebecca's sister Lydia Lang is also buried in Rowe Cemetery.
I have documentation to shows that Rebecca Ashford was the wife of Thomas Kent and that Rebecca Ashford Kent was the daughter of Aaron Ashford. In addition son, Elijah's death certificate lists his mother as Rebecca Ashford.
Lastly, I have tested my DNA and the Ashford line is present. The DNA test also connects with Kent relatives of Columbiana County, Ohio from where many of the Ashfords and Kents were prior to their move to Parke County.
