Elizabeth Beall was born near Utica, Ohio, April 5th, 1843, and departed this life Feb. 6, 1913. She removed to Oakdale, Ill., in 1858. She was married to James Rennie on April 24, 1868. To this union was born two daughters, who survive her, Mrs. W.J. Kirkpatrick of Larned, Kansas, and Miss Ethel of this city. She, with her family, removed to Beulah in 1881, where they resided until they sold out and came to Cherokee seven years ago.
When quite young she united with the Reformed Presbyterian church, but on coming to Beulah she joined the United Presbyterian church. On coming here she united with the Presbyterian church, and when her health would permit she was a constant attendant at the services. She had been an invalid for several years. Only a few months ago her husband passed away. Mrs. Rennie was a good woman, beloved and respected by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church by her pastor, Rev. W.J. Poole, and her body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Cherokee cemetery.
