Funeral Thursday for Mrs. Graves in Deckerville
McGregor, August 6 -- Mrs. Harley Graves, 46, former Sanilac County school examiner, died Monday in University Hospital, Ann Arbor, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Deckerville Methodist Church. Rev. Robert L. McCleary, Carsonville Methodist pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Downing Cemetery, Deckerville.
Mrs. Graves, who was Miss Edna Wallace, was born January 21, 1894 in Bridgehampton Township. After being graduated from Carsonville High School and Michigan State Normal College, Ypsilanti, she taught in Sanilac County schools 25 years and was county school examiner six years.
She was married to Mr. Graves June 21, 1934, and had lived in Custer Township since.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Graves is survived by her father, Charles F. Wallace, Carsonville, three brothers, Frank and Clifford Wallace, both of Carsonville, and Guy Wallace, Mansfield, O., and three sisters, Mrs. Vernon Trigger, Springfield, Massachusetts, and Mrs. George Walker and Miss Iva Wallace, both of Carsonville.
