Mrs. Gwendaline Andes, 58, near Clinton, died at 1:15 a.m. today in John Warner Hospital after an extended illness. She was taken to the Herington Funeral Home pending funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Clinton Methodist Church. Rev. Kenneth C. Knox, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock tonight. Mrs. Andes was born August 22, 1896, at Coffeyville, Kansas, a daughter of Thomas E. and Mary E. Adams Hedger. She was married to Harry Andes at Maroa March 21, 1918. Surviving are her husband, five sons, George Edwin, Grants Pass, Oregon; Harry, Jr., Ossion, Ind.; Richard Lee, Heyworth; two daughters, Miss Marjorie Charlene Andes, Bloomington, and Mrs. Beverly Jean Baker, Normal. Other survivors are 11 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Albert Marlatt of Maroa. Mrs. Andes was a member of the Clinton Methodist Church and the Harp unit of the Dewitt County Home Bureau.
